A few notes on this beer.

First off, this is my second attempt at this beer.

I emailed Fort George brewery about their beer last year.  I professed my absolute love for their 2014 3-way IPA and asked if they could give me hints on how to recreate the beer.  The responded with the following information…

Grains – 2-row, Aromatic, C10, and Flaked Corn
Hops – Chinook, Citra, Mosaic
Yeast – ESB Yeast

My first attempt at this beer used corn sugar instead of flaked corn.  I also used White Labs WLP002, and the 10 minute addition on the recipe listed below was dropped in with the other hops at 5 minutes.

On my second attempt I made the beer using the recipe you see below.  I hit my target OG, however using Vermont Ale Yeast left me with a slightly higher FG of 1.014.  The beer still turned out great, and Vermont Ale Yeast from Gigayeast is a fantastic strain.  In the future I may try this beer with WLP090 because I absolutely love the yeast, and the final beer would probably finish at the projected 1.009 gravity.

This recipe received a combined score of 40.5 at the GEBL IPA Bracket.
